Gerty is one tetchy alpaca! In a penned herd of alpacas you will find Gerty easy to spot - she is the one doing most of the spitting and falling out with everyone! This doesn’t make her a bad alpaca – she’s an excellent and very protective mother. So far, she’s had three cria and her daughter, Atlantic Princess Perky won 3rd prize in the Junior Hucaya female class at the Royal Show in 2005. All these qualities are being passed on to the future generations of the County Alpaca herd.
She is the mother of Huiracocha (Coochie), a half Accoyo male, sired by Accoyo Tolkein [Atlantic herd].
Gerty is now pregnant to Tolstoy [Atlantic herd] a full Accoyo male and expected to give birth in August 2007.
